AIG Bonuses Contractural? 2 Years, 11 Months ago
As outrageous and distasteful as I find the multi-million dollar bonuses planed by AIG, I can't help thinking that they might be part of legally binding employment contracts. Since we don't yet know the names or benchmarks for the bonuses, it is hard to argue pro or con, but the President is certainly using the opportunity (crisis) to seed public outcry for their heads. Is this going to be yet another case of eliminating or "renegotiating" a contract just because it isn't "fair"?
