Flipping Houses and Fairness 2 Years, 11 Months ago
A year ago September, the house across the street from mine was purchased by someone who intended to flip it for a profit. Through their own incompetence, it took them a year to fix it up, and they ended up selling it at a loss just to get out from under the payments. That reduced selling price has had the effect of lowering the value of my house, since it would be considered a comparable sale. Is that fair?
