In the famous if obtuse words of Yogi Berra, "It ain't over till it's over". The Polls are looking favorable in most important races in this Country, but favorable can be way too close. It has been said that the only way a Republican can win in Washington State is to bury their opponent. If the election requires a re-count, it is amazing how many Democrat ballots mysteriously turn up under desks or behind file cabinets at the King County Elections Office.

It is fun to watch Progressives throw their associates under the bus in order to forward their agenda. Everyone that Obama's administration has sacrificed has been yet another reason for optimism. I was shocked today however to hear that Liberal Juan Williams was fired from his position at NPR (National Public Radio). Williams has been a well respected journalist at NPR, but also an ongoing Liberal voice on the Fox News Channel. During his guest visits on shows like O'Reilly and Hannity, he has steadfastly argued the opposing points with articulate, thoughtful, civilized discourse, an art the halfwits at NPR apparently know nothing of.

The Washington Post in an article today , described the plight of a young mother of two, living in Phoenix Arizona. Her husband, disabled five year old son and two year old daughter are American citizens. Unfortunately, she is not, having entered this Country illegally eight years ago. It is a sad story with moody bleak photos that tug at the heart strings. Apparently, her days are consumed with fear of being arrested and deported, and she is considering packing up and moving to Moses Lake Washington, where she will blend into the Hispanic population with little chance of incarceration. Being somewhat socially liberal, I initially felt really bad for this woman. Then I started to think logically about her situation.

GOP Must Learn From Obama's Destruction Of Democrat Party |

Each day it appears more certain that the political bloodbath predicted for midterm elections in Congress will become instead a wake for the departed Democrat Party. President Obama with the able help of fellow Progressives in Congress may have driven a stake into the heart of the once great Liberal faction of American politics. As a Conservative, one might assume I am overjoyed at the concept of massive Democrat failure, but I am more troubled than pleased. I don't want the whole Party to go away, just the far left Progressive purveyors of Socialist thought and doctrine that have perverted this once great Democrat institution. In two short years, they have turned the Party into a vehicle of destruction for America's economy, productivity, future and world standing. Republicans would do well to take note.
