Nothing I write here will make any difference in Washington DC when the Democrats attempt to force Obamacare on America.  No matter how many times I point out the unsustainable expense to our Country, or describe the bill's ineffectiveness in controlling waste, fraud and escalating costs, my little blog here will have minimal effect on the train wreck moving forward in DC.  But you my friend, have the power.  You have the ability to hammer lawmakers where they live: in their desire for re-election.  It couldn't be easier.

Go to this link http://www.capitolconnect.com/freeourhealthcarenow/ , enter a little information, and you can send an e-mail to your lawmakers to let them know how you feel about Obamacare.  Better yet, call them.  You can tell them that this disastrous legislation must be stopped rather than advanced on the promise that it will be somehow fixed with future political gymnastics.  Most importantly, you can let them know how you intend to reward their affirmative vote.  You, my readers are legion, and you have the power of numbers.

The Democrats by their own admission do not currently have the necessary votes.  If they did, the legislation would have already been brought to the floor.  It's going to be a squeaker people, and you need to apply all the pressure you possibly can.  Progressives, you can't persuade.  They are ideologues and will gladly trash their careers for "the cause".  Blue Dogs are at least trying to apply common sense, and might be convinced that they can contribute more to this Country by staying in office and working for fiscal responsibility.  The remaining Liberals in Congress must come to understand that the electoral wrath of this Nation will be many times worse than standing up to Pelosi or Reid who will both be gone anyway by the next session .  They will not only be turned out of office, but as the effects of this legislation become clear to Americans, the political landscape of this Country will be transformed for the next decade or more.

I believe they do listen and they do pay attention, but they are insulated and fed the party line in DC.  You've got to break through that, just like you did at the town hall meetings.  You've got to let them know that you are paying attention to their baloney.  To quote a great movie line:  "Tell them you are mad as hell, and you're not going to take it anymore!"
