Man is it ever cold. What did you think of those pictures of it snowing in New Orleans, or the snow in the mountains of Malibu? It must be hard to hang ten with an icicle hanging off your nose. I thought Global Warming was going to bring us nice mild winters. What happened?
Well it turns out that Global Warming is dead! Wow we've already licked GW and we didn't even have to ratify Kyoto. You'd think that that would make every environmentalist scream with glee. But you'd be wrong. It turns out that our climate problems aren't actually over, because now we have to defeat GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE. Yes that's right, since the planet hasn't been warming for the past 10 years, in spite of unprecedented increase in CO2, Al Gore and his friends are now hard charging against Global Climate Change. In the old days anytime it was a degree or two warmer than normal Al would point to it as a sign of global warming. But now, surprise, the cold is also an indication of global warming, whoops, GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE. My little brother explained it to me the other day. It seems that higher concentrations of CO2 not only warms the climate but causes unusual weather. It's all science don't you know. I took a science class or two in my day and none of this adds up. In real science, a valid theory predicts future events. So when I heat pure water at sea level to 212° F (100° C for you science types) it will boil. It happens every time. The fact that I can predict this behavior with certainty is an indication of the validity of the theories relating to water, temperature and atmospheric pressure. Compare our knowledge of the boiling point of water with our ability to predict global temperatures. For years we've been told that as we dump more CO2 into the atmosphere the planet will warm. The science was settled after all. Yet here we are. We’ve continued to dump CO2 and it’s actually colder. Most importantly, not one global climate model predicted it. So much for settled science. But that doesn’t stop Al Gore's friends. They've simply moved the goal posts. And our media and politicians have let them. Why? And what can we do about it
